KHRISTOPHER RETURNS TO THE FOREFRONT OF THE MUSIC SCENE

New York, March 15, 2011 - KHRISTOPHER, born Mark Williams, has been around for years. After migrating to the US as a teenager from Trelawny in beautiful Jamaica, he started his musical career in New York with influences from Sanchez, Wayne Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Brian McKnight.

This Fifth Element Records Reggae recording artist doesn't come from a musical family, being the only singer to come up. He would frequent the Jamaican night clubs in New York just so he could practice and master his craft. When he tasted his first shot at studio life, everyone was shocked to hear such a voice come from this youngster. He met an incredible producer by the name of Louis "Flabba" Malcolm and he recorded hits like "I Want It That Way" then "All I Have To Give" on Flabba's Headache and Hurricane Riddim, respectively. His international success came after moving back to Jamaica in 1999 and recorded his cover version of "Who's Holding Donna" which peaked at number 2 on the Tri-State Top 20 Reggae Countdown.

Khristopher may be most popular for his collaboration with Delly Ranx on Jeremy Harding's Lightning Riddim with a track called "Vex Now" or most recently his "Everytime It Rains" track on the Mad Indian Riddim, produced by Collin "Bulby" York. Now, after a short stint off the scene, Khristopher is back in full swing to take the music industry by storm. He returned to New York and has been busy in the studio, working on several projects with a young producer named Andre "Dretegs" Harthorn on Fifth Element Records label.

Showcasing the talent we all know him for, this new team has released singles like "No Weh Nuh Bettah Dan Yard", "Marijuana", "Heartbeat Away" and "Do Whatever" all released on Fifth Element Records. A club version of "Heartbeat Away" was remixed by French producers Daddy and Hypa of D&H Remix and will record a track on their new riddim to be released on their D&H Records label. Khristopher also does productions of his own on his Singry Productions label, one such product being a cover of Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour" in 2008. He also produced the My Boo Riddim and Few Year Ole Riddim.

He has been doing several shows and appearances in and around the New York/Tri-State Area and Florida. He recently performed at the Linkage Awards in New York, where he wowed the crowd with his thrilling presence on stage and even accepted an award on behalf of Fifth Element's artist, Natural Black. In the making now, is a video for "Do Whatever" on March 19th, which will be directed by Deus Beni Production, with styling and makeup by Niki Chin Designs. He is slated to perform that same night at Jamie Hype's Birthday Bash, dubbed "Forever Young", alongside his musical mentor, Wayne Wonder, at Club Ciboney.

Khristopher has been keeping busy under the direction of his label, Fifth Element Records at their studios, and intends on putting a stamp on all music lovers' hearts with his captivating voice, pulsating performances and humble nature. He can be contacted at anytime through his agent, Lesley Hayles, on Twitter or Facebook.

THE BIOGRAPHY OF KHRISTOPHER

Born Mark Wayne Williams in the Falmouth Hospital, Trelawny in Jamaica, he was nicknamed "Khris" by his mother after his distinctive birth date on December 25th.

Khristopher enjoyed listening to all genres of music and at a tender age of 12 years old he relocated to Brooklyn, NY where he continued his schooling. When he got older, he frequented New York area clubs where he followed his love of music on the Dancehall scene. Khristopher was motivated by the singing inspiration of Reggae artistes such as Sanchez and Wayne Wonder, as well as international renowned artistes like Marvin Gaye and Brian McKnight.

He got his first experience of studio life at Don One Studio in Brooklyn where he began to record dub plates for local area sound systems. In 1999, Khristopher met Louis "Flabba" Malcolm in the Bronx where he recorded a cover version of the Backstreet Boys hit “I WANT IT THAT WAY” on Flabba’s HEADACHE RIDDIM (Jamaican Patois/slang for "rhythm"), which commanded the attention of the music world. His musical talents were acknowledged and his fan base commenced and continues to grow today.

On the heels of that success, Khristopher recorded another cover of a Backstreet Boys' track, this time being that of “ALL I HAVE TO GIVE”, on the HURRICANE RIDDIM, also produced by Flabba. With this success, he has traveled to countries like Japan, Germany and England, just to name a few. He also toured a few Caribbean islands. He continues to perform on shows in the New York Tri-state and Connecticut area.

In 1999, Khristopher made a career shift to move back to Jamaica, as he wanted to further pursue his musical career through working with other Jamaican producers, which included Jeremy Harding on "VEX NOW" with Delly Ranx and Louis "Flabba" Malcolm on “WHO’S HOLDING DONNA”, one of Khristopher’s memorable cover. It was hit #2 on the Tri-state’s Top 20 Reggae Countdown and received famed recognition internationally. He also worked with Collin "Bulby" York on the MAD INDIAN RIDDIM with a track called "EVERYTIME IT RAINS" in 2006.

He takes pride in his songwriting abilities which includes original works such as “NO WEY NUH BETTAH DAN YAWD” produced by himself and Andre “DRETEGS” Hawthorne for Fifth Element Records, “HEARTBEAT AWAY” also produced by himself, Liveon Gavin and DRETEGS, and “DO WHATEVER” which was co-written by DRETEGS and Reggae singer Tony Curtis. French musical duo, Daddy and Hypa of D&H REMIX, did a club remix of "HEARTBEAT AWAY" which featured David Guetta.

Khristopher is now being booked by Lesley Hayles and signed to Fifth Element Records. They have released a number of singles such as "SAME TING AGAIN" and "MY CHERIE AMOUR". Khristopher’s latest singles include, "HEARTBEAT AWAY", "MARIJUANA", "DO WHATEVER" and "NO WEY NUH BETTAH DAN YAWD".

With his passion for music, Khristopher’s sultry voice shows a talent commanded for in the music world. As a singer, songwriter and also a producer, Khristopher captures the attention of young music lovers worldwide. His soulful and passionate sound is one that can be recognized anywhere and for all who enjoy music.

BELL/ZAIDIE MEMORIAL FOOTBALL MATCH CELEBRATES 25 YEARS

Heroes Day, October 18, 2010, will not only celebrate our local heroes but will also mark the 25th Anniversary of the annual NCB Visa Classic Bell/Zaidie Memorial Football Match, which will be held at Winchester Park, St. George’s College. This annual event has always been a celebration and recognition of the lives of former Jamaican National footballers, Jackie Bell and Dennis Zaidie, both who died tragically while attending the finals of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico City.

The brainchild of Clive “Busy” Campbell, a former Santos player and current Manager of athlete Jermaine Gonzales, he has chosen to partner with Blueprint Consulting for the successful staging and execution of this landmark event. The event will feature two matches; The Masters, Celebrities and Entertainers versus The St. George’s Old Boys Invitational Team, as well as, A Sponsors 11 versus A Media Invitational 11.

"Blueprint is always about giving back to the community, and so my personal love of sports has inspired me to help Mr. Campbell to take this event to higher heights. In tough economic times, sponsors are looking for returns for participating in even Charity events, so we are making the event more modern, trendy, exciting and fun, with the look and feel and the proposed entertainment,” stated Deane Shepherd, Director of Blueprint Consulting when asked about their role in this year’s event.

Shepherd also exclaimed that, “Not only will we have the mouth watering matchups, but we will also have a few sponsors challenges in which the spectators can become involved with, including the NCB Half Line Kick, the Claro Juggling Contest, and the Wray and Nephew Penalty Shootout. Sponsors will have on‐the‐ground giveaways, and our artistes will take the mic to make impromptu performances."

Several local celebrities and entertainers have come on board this year to support the charity event with proceeds going in aid of several basic schools throughout the island. Some of the participants in this year’s staging include: Andrew Price, Nicholas Zaidie, Ali McNab, Darren Virtue, Walter Boyd, Chris Martin, Onandi Lowe, ZJ Bambino, Peter Prendergast, Chris DaCosta, Tony Curtis and Courtney Walsh to name a few.

The event will also honour past Jamaican Footballers and Officials, with this year’s recipients being Ainsley Shaw, Elvin Schloss ‐ former Jamaica/YMCA Footballer; Bruce Lynn – former Jamaica/YMCA Footballer and a Member of the 1958 West Indies Football Team; and Harold Murray.

Sponsors for the 25th Anniversary celebration include NCB Visa Classic, NCB Foundation, Wray & Nephew, Wata, Red Stripe, Claro, Western Sports, Voltaren Aerosol, Sportsmax, Jamaica National Money Transfer, Cuddy’z Sports Bar and Restaurant, Hitz 92 FM, CVM, KLAS Sports Fm 89, Iprint Digital, Garrick Communications and Blueprint Consulting.

About Lesley Hayles and her new blog on http://lesley-hayles.blogspot.com

This blog is really about all that is going on around the world pertaining to the music business. All press releases and all the information that's relayed to me will be posted here. Most of this will come directly from industry personnel and passed on to other top notch music executives. If there is anything you would like for me to circulate, then feel free to leave your comments here and include your contact information.

It's hard to trust anyone in the music business. There's hardly any loyalty, any truth, any honesty. People are always backstabbing, always envying and craving for more fame and fortune, always trying to step on others to have their own way. Newcomers have no clue and easily get sucked in to all the hype. It can make you or break you. You either use or be used. However, I'm here to change all that. I'm here to bring a different side to this prominent industry and offer something different to the table. I am here to show outsiders that they can do it without stooping below their level.

My name is Lesley Hayles and I'm a Promoter, Booking Agent, Artist Manager and Entertainment Journalist. To sum it all up, I am an Entertainment Manager. I work with several types of people in the music business and know how to deal with each of them the way that I should. You will find no dishonesty in what I do.

I am most popular from my family's business. My father, Stephen "Father Bunny" Hayles, was the one who built Bass Odyssey Sound System. He founded it alongside Keith Walford and even brought the late, great Squingy and most of the past DJs to work with them. My family also owns Aquarius Records. My uncle, Dennis "Star" Hayles, is a well known Jamaican producer and has helped the likes of Sandy Star - my sister; Flourgon, Red Dragon, and several other Dancehall artists with several of their hits made in years passed. Therefore, I've been around for quite a while, learning and understanding how this business works.

Apart from my affiliation with the family business with TNG MUZIK and promoting upcoming acts like Daro, clothing lines like Bubba James Clothing, or event promoting with Young Society Entertainment, I have worked with other sound system and radio DJs like Hottaball, Selecta Warbeezy, Jah Cuban and Neu Era Sound; companies such as Planet Rock Entertainment, JamOne Media, http://www.876radio.com and Prism Marketing as well as artists like Sandy Star, Tyrical, G-Monei, Peter Lloyd, Delus, Shifta, Troy Genius, Tafari, Psycho Tan Bad, Khristopher, Mr. Peppa, Mr. Lexx, Munga, Delly Ranks, Konshens, Selena Serrano, Bruk Up, D-Major, Rseenal, Trinity Chris and Dylan DilinJah on several projects, including promotion of their tracks. I have built strong friendships with all these top acts and continue to work with them on occasions. I have written several biographies, news stories, artist features and press releases; some of my work has been featured in newspapers, on various websites, on tv and on the radio. I have conducted tv interviews and have even done cameo appearances in music videos, like in the Spice video "No Matter What" directed and edited by Terminal 4 Media. I have worked with Rockwildaz Entertainment, writing articles for their website http://www.rockwildaz.com and I have aided in providing some of the content of others like http://www.entertainmentvybz.com and http://www.negril.com in Jamaica, http://www.unitedreggae.com in Germany, http://www.elatedtv.com and http://www.starzfm.com both of which are based in Florida.

My B.L.E.S. Weekly and Monthly Top Ten and Top Twenty Dancehall and Reggae Chart compilations have been featured on http://www.outaroad.com and other websites and sent to some 400,000 viewers. Tracks such as: "Dance The Night Away" by Busy Signal featuring Voicemail; "It's Not An Easy Road" by Tafari featuring his father Big Youth; "True Love" by Delus; "Bonify" By Psycho featuring Ms. Ting and many more I have helped to promote. Everyone I've worked with are pleased with my personality and work ethics. I get the job done.

My contacts stretch throughout all of Jamaica and the Caribbean, the US, Canada, Switzerland, France, Japan, England, Spain and Slovenia. I am involved in all genres of music; no prejudice on my part. As long as a song is good, I'll promote it. If you send me something that isn't right, I'll tell you that it's not good and ask you to go back to the drawing board. Try again and contact me when you've made it better or have something I can work with. There are never any pretenses where I'm concerned. Honesty matters when you're dealing with me.

You can Google Lesley Hayles and see for yourself. My rates are also quite low but my standards are very high. You'll get quality from me and you won't be disappointed when the job is done. Working together, we can make it happen. I am ready when you are so feel free to contact me at anytime. Let's do this.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
