This blog is really about all that is going on around the world pertaining to the music business. All press releases and all the information that's relayed to me will be posted here. Most of this will come directly from industry personnel and passed on to other top notch music executives. If there is anything you would like for me to circulate, then feel free to leave your comments here and include your contact information.
It's hard to trust anyone in the music business. There's hardly any loyalty, any truth, any honesty. People are always backstabbing, always envying and craving for more fame and fortune, always trying to step on others to have their own way. Newcomers have no clue and easily get sucked in to all the hype. It can make you or break you. You either use or be used. However, I'm here to change all that. I'm here to bring a different side to this prominent industry and offer something different to the table. I am here to show outsiders that they can do it without stooping below their level.
My name is Lesley Hayles and I'm a Promoter, Booking Agent, Artist Manager and Entertainment Journalist. To sum it all up, I am an Entertainment Manager. I work with several types of people in the music business and know how to deal with each of them the way that I should. You will find no dishonesty in what I do.
I am most popular from my family's business. My father, Stephen "Father Bunny" Hayles, was the one who built Bass Odyssey Sound System. He founded it alongside Keith Walford and even brought the late, great Squingy and most of the past DJs to work with them. My family also owns Aquarius Records. My uncle, Dennis "Star" Hayles, is a well known Jamaican producer and has helped the likes of Sandy Star - my sister; Flourgon, Red Dragon, and several other Dancehall artists with several of their hits made in years passed. Therefore, I've been around for quite a while, learning and understanding how this business works.
Apart from my affiliation with the family business with TNG MUZIK and promoting upcoming acts like Daro, clothing lines like Bubba James Clothing, or event promoting with Young Society Entertainment, I have worked with other sound system and radio DJs like Hottaball, Selecta Warbeezy, Jah Cuban and Neu Era Sound; companies such as Planet Rock Entertainment, JamOne Media, http://www.876radio.com and Prism Marketing as well as artists like Sandy Star, Tyrical, G-Monei, Peter Lloyd, Delus, Shifta, Troy Genius, Tafari, Psycho Tan Bad, Khristopher, Mr. Peppa, Mr. Lexx, Munga, Delly Ranks, Konshens, Selena Serrano, Bruk Up, D-Major, Rseenal, Trinity Chris and Dylan DilinJah on several projects, including promotion of their tracks. I have built strong friendships with all these top acts and continue to work with them on occasions. I have written several biographies, news stories, artist features and press releases; some of my work has been featured in newspapers, on various websites, on tv and on the radio. I have conducted tv interviews and have even done cameo appearances in music videos, like in the Spice video "No Matter What" directed and edited by Terminal 4 Media. I have worked with Rockwildaz Entertainment, writing articles for their website http://www.rockwildaz.com and I have aided in providing some of the content of others like http://www.entertainmentvybz.com and http://www.negril.com in Jamaica, http://www.unitedreggae.com in Germany, http://www.elatedtv.com and http://www.starzfm.com both of which are based in Florida.
My B.L.E.S. Weekly and Monthly Top Ten and Top Twenty Dancehall and Reggae Chart compilations have been featured on http://www.outaroad.com and other websites and sent to some 400,000 viewers. Tracks such as: "Dance The Night Away" by Busy Signal featuring Voicemail; "It's Not An Easy Road" by Tafari featuring his father Big Youth; "True Love" by Delus; "Bonify" By Psycho featuring Ms. Ting and many more I have helped to promote. Everyone I've worked with are pleased with my personality and work ethics. I get the job done.
My contacts stretch throughout all of Jamaica and the Caribbean, the US, Canada, Switzerland, France, Japan, England, Spain and Slovenia. I am involved in all genres of music; no prejudice on my part. As long as a song is good, I'll promote it. If you send me something that isn't right, I'll tell you that it's not good and ask you to go back to the drawing board. Try again and contact me when you've made it better or have something I can work with. There are never any pretenses where I'm concerned. Honesty matters when you're dealing with me.
You can Google Lesley Hayles and see for yourself. My rates are also quite low but my standards are very high. You'll get quality from me and you won't be disappointed when the job is done. Working together, we can make it happen. I am ready when you are so feel free to contact me at anytime. Let's do this.
SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
